All of the safety films conform to the AS/NZS2208 safety standards. Recently, all NZ schools had safety films fitted in areas of danger from glass breaking. Heat/Temperature Control
Solar control film keeps your home cool in summer, without losing the heat in winter. Should your home be air conditioned, you will find the units cope a lot better with considerable saving of energy costs. New initiatives, such as the compulsory installation of double glazing will work best in conjunction with Solar Control Film. The double layer of glass keeps the heat in, but does not perform well at keeping heat out in summer. Contrary to some recent claims, window film is not designed to prevent or dramatically reduce condensation on your windows. In fact, window film can be damaged by excessive condensation. There is no substitute for a quality ventilation system or double glazing in the prevention of condensation and retention of internal heat. While we can help you to reduce heat loss through your window panes, we do not promote window film as an alternative to double glazing. Installing a good solar control film will keep your rooms cooler. Right house, Green Building Council and Future Proof Building all recognise that window glass can be a major source of heat loss. In the United States, some window films qualify for rebates. We carry these films here, however, no rebates are available to date. |
