Fading and Bleaching of Floors, Furniture
and other decor

In our experience, customers often expect that window tinting will totally prevent their furniture, flooring, art, and other décor from fading.
Although window tinting helps to prevent and delay fading, it cannot block or stop it completely.

The most common myth and misconception about fading is that it is caused completely by ultraviolet light, or UV light. UV Light is the primary cause of fading, however it is only responsible for 40 percent.
Heat and visible light are the other main contributors to fading, which is why a clear UV film or coating simply does not work. In order to achieve the highest levels of fade reduction available, you need to have a product that not only has the UV protection but also rejects heat and visible light.

Solar heat attributes to 25 percent of fading and visible light makes up a further 25 percent.
A quality window film can block some of the solar heat with heat rejection, and the darker the hue of your tint, the more visible light that is cut.
Other causes such as chemical vapours, indoor lighting, poor quality dye in your item fabrics and humidity make up the remaining 10 percent. Unfortunately, window tinting has no control over these factors.
UV protection in all products applied by Tint Pro NZ is tested and proven to last. In fact, we warrant that the tint will remain effective for at least 10 years and in some cases as long as you own your house.
As our window film blocks up to 99 percent of UV light, the life expectancy of your fabrics, flooring, furniture, fine art and other decor can expect to be extended, thus saving you money.
